Do you play the lottery?
Hey you never know or some version of that tagline is what drives people to buy lotto tickets. The statistics for playing the lotto are awful and people fall into the trap of death by a thousand cuts since a few dollars can get you a good amount of lotto tickets and add the fact that in the US at least most lotteries are government controlled just makes it so much more of a scam in my eyes.
