For Christians, baptism is about absolving your sins. You can do baptism as much as you want, along with public testimony of how you became a Christian, and recognizing your sin, no matter how deep it is, then giving yourself to God and He allows His spirit, the Holy Spirit, to guide you. It does work. In my life I have been baptized about 4 times.
From what I've looked into baptism is only practiced once and confession is how a Christian continually absolves themselves of sin. Christ was only baptized once by John the baptist.
True. But remember times are different. Everything is different we have evolved into a species that runs to wicked things. In Christianity, when you come to Christ you are baptized. When you fall away and come back to your faith, you are baptized. I understand Jesus was baptized by his cousin once, remember he was a sinless man, in a very sinful world.

The sin you personally struggle with, seems to become more clear and easier to give up.
