Temujin who is more well known as Genghis Khan is the founder of the Mongol empire. He took control of nomadic tribal warriors and built the foundation of what would be the largest contiguous empire that the world would ever know. The empire didn't reach its territorial peak until after his death and his grandsons succeeded him. The empire was short-lived as it was fractured into many Khanates like the Golden Horde in Russia and the Yuan Dynasty in China. The Mongolian empire was short-lived as it lasted between 1206-1368 AD. Regardless, the Mongols are well remembered in history and Genghis’ lives on in the historical record and his many living descendants. What’s your take on the Horde?
