What Do You Think of the Ottoman Empire?

The Ottoman Empire was the last polity to claim to be a Caliphate. They were founded at the end of the 13th century and persisted until they were dissolved from the fallout of World War I in the 1920s. The Ottomans conquered Constantinople and ruled over Turkey, Greece and much of Arabia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The Empire’s peak was in the 16th century with Suleiman the Magnificent’s rule. The Ottoman ethnic group and culture is survived by the modern nation of Turkey. What do you think?
